49 CFR 391 is the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations for Driver Qualification. Any driver who operates a vehicle with a GVWR/GCWR of 10,001 pounds or more, transports at least 8 passengers including the driver, or who transports hazardous materials that require placarding is required to have a file containing their qualification documents. A Driver Qualification File contains specific records and documentation that demonstrates the employee is safe enough, healthy enough and qualified to operate a CMV. This includes owner-operators as they are considered employers AND employees.

Under UCR 49 USC 14504a, any company that is operate commercial motor vehicles in interstate or international commerce.
This annual state tax is required every year the company is in operation.

49 CFR Part 366, is the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulation required by any company that obtains an operating authority (MC, FF, and/or Broker). An operating authority will not be granted without the BOC-3 being attached. The BOC-3 includes a list or processing agents whom can accept legal paperwork in each state on the operator’s behalf.
This is a one-time registration and does not need to be renewed.
We will file this for your company and attach it to your Motor Carrier for your Operating Authority.
49 CFR Part 382.307, is the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulation for anyone who supervises two or more commercial drivers, must complete a minimum of 2 hours of training; 60 minutes on alcohol abuse and 60 minutes on drug abuse. This training includes the physical, behavioral, speech and performance indicators of alcohol and drug misuse. Each supervisor only needs to complete this training once in their career.

Operating Authority: 49 CFR Part 390, is the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulation for any motor carrier operator who crosses state lines and is for-hire is required to submit an FMCSA application. This application authorizes your interstate travel, and must be granted before your company’s driver(s) are legally able to travel across state lines for business.
