National Drug and Alcohol Testing Consortium

 All drivers that carry a commercial drivers license and operate a motor vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 pounds + and or operate a vehicle designed to transport 16 or more passengers, including the driver; or is of any size and is used to transport material that require a hazardous placard are required to participate in an approved DOT drug & alcohol testing program.  


49 CFR Part 382 is the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulation on controlled substances and alcohol use and testing.

FMCSA Clearing House Services

As a Consortia Third Party Administrator (C/TPA), Unified Compliance Services can assist you in navigating the registration and compliance process with the FMCSA Clearinghouse.  


The Federal Mother Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse was created by an act of Congress and went into effect on January 6. 2020 to give employers real-time access to information about commercial driver drug and alcohol program violations.  


This new online database directly impacts how organizations hire commercial drivers and is required for any company and driver who operates within the FMCSA regulations.

Supervisor Training Course

 49 CFR Part 382.307, is the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulation for anyone who supervises two or more commercial drivers, must complete a minimum of 2 hours of training; 60 minutes on alcohol abuse and 60 minutes on drug abuse. 


This training includes the physical, behavioral, speech and performance indicators of alcohol and drug misuse. 

Each supervisor only needs to complete this training once in their career.

  • Your vehicle has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or Gross Combination Weight Rating (GCWR) of 26,001+ pounds.
